Nana’s Bread Pudding

6 slices white bread, cubed
1-1/2 cups milk or 1/2 & 1/2
2 T butter
3 eggs
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c chopped apples
1/2 c raisins
1/2 c brown sugar

Warm milk and butter and pour over bread cubes; let stand 1/2 hour
Beat eggs and sugar together, add apples and raisins. Fold into bread mixture. pour into 2 quart casserole and sprinkle with 1/2 c brown sugar.

Bake at 325° for 45 minutes. Keep warm in pan of hot water.
